If you are interested in volunteering at the Allegro School, please contact the main office at telephone number (973) 267-8060 to schedule an appointment. During your initial visit, you will be asked to complete the Allegro School’s standard volunteer/employment application. Additionally, as per the New Jersey Department of Education, all volunteer prospects are required to undergo a criminal history review via the MorphoTrust fingerprinting process. Once this process is completed and the school receives notification of clearance, the Principal will provide the volunteer with a classroom assignment as well as a visitation schedule.
Who We Are
The Allegro School was founded in 1989 as a non-profit 501 (C)(3) corporation to provide quality education, keep autistic children with their families, and prepare them for community living. The school serves approximately 60 students ages 3-21 from 10 counties in Northern and Central New Jersey. Approximately 75 children and adults are served though our respite, and adult services departments.
What Our Parents Are Saying
"My overall feelings about the school is that the teachers and faculty are very caring and take the time to teach the children. I absolutely love Allegro and would recommend the school to anyone."
