Welcome to Allegro School's Greenhouse Program, Horticultural Therapy and Vocational Training page.  We are 100% Organic and our program is designed to provide students with hands-on, multi-sensory learning experiences in a natural setting. In this program, students apply basic scientific and mathematical principles throughout the harvesting process such as measuring and computation.

Presently, the Horticulture Program consists of a greenhouse as well as an outdoor garden containing a variety of raised beds. This program is one of Allegro’s many “services” where students regularly participate in a host of activities including but not limited to composting, watering, pruning, potting and labeling. All of these activities help build students’ fine motor skills, hand strength and hand-eye coordination.

At the conclusion of each harvest, all plants/flowers are sold and/or donated. All of the proceeds go toward funding the ongoing maintenance and expansion of the school’s Horticulture Program.
